Final Assessment (Attestation?) Dates

Final Assessment (Attestation?) Dates

I see both versions of the calendar designate Dec. 26, 27, and 28 as Final Assessment Dates (FinAttest). Could you please clarify what this means, Rano, and what the implications would be for faculty expecting to travel?

Final attestations are for the state exams, right?

Dear Zhanat, dear colleagues:
Rano has confirmed via email that these dates are set for state exams/thesis defense. I am trying to work out a way to get Rano access to the forum directly, but for now take the liberty of passing along her comment from email: "Final Assessment period is required by MES - it is for State Exams and Thesis Defense. MES requires a separate scheduled period for this category of exams."

Unfortunately I think this date is not manageable for many international faculty who celebrate Christmas Dec. 25. If a separate set of dates is required, perhaps the final attestations could be scheduled at the beginning of the exam period rather than the end. Would that be possible, Rano?
