The General Education program is designed to develop and foster broad intellectual, social and cultural interests, skills and knowledge. Education at KIMEP extends beyond the acquisition of specialized skills and knowledge within areas of concentration. Hence, the main objective of this program is to familiarize students in a meaningful way with some of the major approaches to intellectual and cultural life through a series of required and elective courses. It is intended to develop a student’s ability to think critically and independently and to learn to deal with the kinds of multiplicity that characterize our complex world. The interdisciplinary and multicultural nature of the courses provides grounding in the wealth of human experience, diversity in life, lifelong learning and personal growth. Focusing on the creative and intellectual engagement objective of the general education program, this course offers a unique blend of artistic expression, appreciation, and interpretation skills while developing applied technical photography and image editing skills.
